Starting as a part time interest, creating beautiful works of art has become an almost full-time passion as David spends his time between Vancouver and Mayne Island. 

 

David uses a bold and vivid palate to create his West Coast style abstract paintings.  Inspired by nature, dramatic color and textures, David’s work is undoubtedly unique as he takes a “loose and free” approach to his painting in either oil, acrylic or mixed media.

 

Initially self taught, David pursues his art studies and he grows as an artist.  His studies include color theory, art history, drawing, figurative drawing, oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting.  He is also active in 2 separate painting groups.
